@gbraad Detective Conan was dubbed for a long time in Europe. I think the only currently running dub in Europe is the Galician one.

@neal honestly, I had never seen this in Europe before. (never noticed at least). Only learned about Conan about 15+ years ago in China/Asia. I am not sure, but do not think it was ever 'big' in Europe. Never heard anyone about this in the Netherlands... hence, I was amazed there was a Dutch comic. I often frequented comic stores, as they sold or had a place to play Magic.

@gbraad yes, the books are translated to french since 1997 and the anime was also on television (France 3) in the mid 2000s. Manga and anime are quite popular in France and every bookstore sell them. According to Wikipedia, France is 40% of the European manga market.
