I wonder if they would be down to have a video chat to finish discussing these topics, and maybe we could turn this into a recurring event and invite other devs.
I'm hopeful, let's do it

dansup@mastodon.social definitely up for that, I'll make space for the creators of Pixelfed and Frequency
The context stuff is actually drafted and ready to implement.
FEP 7888 defines some specifics about how and when to use
context
FEP f228 is the conversational backfill part.

@dansup @jesseplusplus @julian I'd bee interested to see any follow up videos from #FediCon. would they likely be uploaded to peer tube or you tube or both ? . Where ever I would watch them

@julian I think the links are broken on federation, but they are working when visiting your post directly. Might be a bug with rendering the original post into Markdown since both content and source have the instance URL prefixed.
From content property:

mradcliffe-he-him@nokoto.org ah yeah, thanks for pointing that out, I keep forgetting that my link translations are buggy whenever I use protocol-relative URLs.
I'll file a ticket, thanks!

I agree with @jon , in that, it would be cool to record it (if you are comfortable doing that).
You could even pick a hash-tag to post it under, so others can follow along, too — by watching the videos, and reading any (text) discussion that happens as a result.

reiver@mastodon.social jon@social.headshed.dev is there a desire for videos of these sorts of calls? I always thought they were usually pretty dull for people not directly involved
