Each option is different and it's hard for you to know which software is the best fit. That's why even when I say NodeBB sits somewhere in between microblogs and blogs, NodeBB might not be the right solution, yeah? What kind of site do you want to build, how in depth do you want to go, etc.?

@steve@social.technoetic.com I think we're closer than we think. There are a few devs working on an ActivityPub specific implementation to solve just this problem. I'll be speaking about it at FOSDEM this February at the after hours event. It's one of the fedi "hard problems", but there's a light at the end of the tunnel.
