How many times have you played a game to 100%?

@evan Off the top of my head:
Myst, Riven, Myst III
Zork: Nemesis
At least a couple of the Civs and Sim Cities (well, no, I've won several times, but not in all civs and all difficulties, etc...)
Diablo, Diablo II, Torchlight 2
Talos Principel
Fez, I think?
One of those Indiana Jones point and click games, I think?
A short hike and a few other smaller games like thatAnd aaalmost The Witness. That was like 99%.
Probably forgotten some.
-
@evan Not often but it happens usually 2-3 times per console. I had to wait for the Switch 2 to finish some of my Switch games to avoid the lag.
-
@evan i answered 6 or more, but now i wonder about the definition, ending the story the normal way without shortcuts, or doing all the possible side quests or even finding all the secrets? because the latter i'm not sure even once.
-
@evan There are two games I play: Minecraft and Tetris. You can't play them to 100%, they are infinite.

@tshirtman "100%:
To collect all collectibles or to also obtain all achievements (see below) within a game, either indicated within games as a percentage counter or determined by player community consensus." -

@jak2k you can in fact play Minecraft to 100% by getting every achievement. There's a percentage tracker.
Achievement
An achievement, known as a trophy on PlayStation, is a way to gradually guide new players into Minecraft and give them challenges to complete. In Java Edition, a system of advancements accomplishes this instead. There are 129 achievements in Bedrock Edition. Every achievement is tracked per user...

@evan I've completed countless board games and card games.

@Shanmonster that's an interesting question! Even for simple games like Tic-Tac-Toe, what would 100% look like? Do you have to play every possible game from both sides? Are there meta aspects, like playing during class, or playing on a breath-misted window?
-
@evan The only console game I completed up to 100% was The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess a decade ago.
If we incude non-digital games like chess and other board games, than it's around 2000 -
This was good. Per the replies I think a lot of people considered 100%-ing a game as just playing a game to completion or finishing the main story line, which is probably a healthy and non-obsessive way to play videogames and other games.

I have gotten pretty close to 100%ing a few games. For Red Dead Redemption 2, I just have a couple of songbirds to find shoot with a tiny bow and arrow -- I think I'm at 99.84%. But that's not 100%.
I think I'm 0.

@evan I've only 100%ed three games in my 20 years of Steam usage, and one of those was a demo (lol).
My most recent 100% game was Time Flies, which I beat this week.

@evan I finished Laser Blast on the Atari 2600 when I was a kid. Finished, as in the game crashed after like a million points. That was my only one I think.
